Every garlic mustard plant pulled this year prevents hundreds or even thousands next year.
Will you help preserve biodiversity in your own neighborhood?
Teens can receive community service credits!
Two ways to participate:
1. You may weed on your own schedule:
An hour or two spent in your own neighborhood (or assigned to a location in Cohasset, Hingham, Norwell,
Marshfield or Scituate) will make a world of difference to vulnerable birds and at-risk insects. Please click the button below.
2. You may join us at one of two locations on Saturday May 10th:
World's End Reservation, Hingham (meet in the parking lot at 10am)
Wheelwright Park, North Main Street entrance, Cohasset (meet in the front field at 12 noon)
Please click the button below.
No experience needed; families with young children are more than welcome!
All that's needed: gloves and a strong plastic garbage bag.
We recommend you wear long sleeves and pants & check for ticks afterwards!
Unfamiliar with this increasingly common invasive plant? We can help you to identify garlic mustard, and teach you how best to remove it.
